Last Sunday, Mangala families came together for our program “Hands that Heal · Hearts that Care.” Sayalay shared a Dhamma story where a fiery trap set to harm the Buddha transformed into a lotus pond, symbolizing the power of compassion and virtue.
The reflection reminds us:
- Stay calm, observe first, then help.
- With a clear and gentle heart, our actions can truly bring healing.
After that, Dhamma Organizer Chia Yee shared practical First Aid knowledge in a simple and easy-to-understand way. Through relatable examples, both parents and children could clearly grasp what to do. The key takeaway: before helping others, first steady your own heart — only then can you truly save someone.
Everyone, young and old, gained so much from this session — not only the wisdom of the Dhamma, but also life-saving skills we may use in our daily lives. May we carry a heart of compassion, protecting ourselves and caring for those around us.
Sādhu! Sādhu! Sādhu!
